In its September 2017 issue, BSD Magazine has reprinted one of NEAT’s papers from the Future of Internet Transport workshop (FIT).
“Transparent Flow Mapping for NEAT”, by Felix Weinrank and Michael Tüxen (FHM), describes how multiplexing several application flows is transparently managed by the NEAT library, without additional effort for the application developer. The NEAT approach provides automatic negotiation and an integrated fallback solution, and allows seamless integration of alternative protocols like QUIC.
